For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died...that he was buried, that he was raised...and that he appeared...~ 1 Corinthians 15:3-5, selected phrases, ESV

The most important question that defines us as a local church is "Who do you say that Jesus is?" A second vital question is like it, "What is the most important thing that Jesus did?"

How you answer the first question reveals your heart, your theology (your understanding about God), and your (potential) hope in life. How you answer the second question reveals your grasp of how the Gospel works and whether it has worked deeply upon your very self.

Who do you say that Jesus is?
He is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

What is the most important thing that Jesus did? Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried. He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. Christ appeared to many people who served as eyewitnesses of the truth of His resurrection during the 1st century, informing others who subsequently believed (trusted by faith) in Jesus as the Christ. These others went on to spread this glorious Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to the world. All the way down to our time today. Where the question remains the same for us and those around us: "Who do you say that Jesus is?"
