A Note From Our Pastor
I'm so glad you took the time to look at our website. We'd love to see you in person in the near future. We are excited about the Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done and is doing for us and in us. We worship Him and are being changed to become like Him. We'd love for you to join us in that pursuit.
Recently we put a series of sermons I preached on the Book of Revelation into a book titled Revelation Plain and Simple. At the time the book was published, I suddenly became one of a million voices that are saying "Listen to me" or "Look at me" or Read what I wrote." Turn on the TV, listen to the radio, pick up the paper, log on to the Internet, and people are crying out for our attention.
And in it all, God continues to speak in that still, small voice of His. The big difference between what people are saying and what God is saying is that God has only our best interests at heart, and wants to give something to us: something that cost Him a great deal. He wants to be reconciled to us, and has overcome the barrier of sin that has separated people from God for thousands of years. He has overcome that barrier through the giving of His Son, Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap that our sin had created between ourselves and God. And He offers this forgiveness, this reconciliation, to each one of us.
As a church, it is our goal to speak the truth of God, to share the love of Christ, to point to Jesus and say "Listen to Him!" There are many voices shouting, calling, and offering you something. Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and bearing a heavy burden, and I will give you rest." What a promise!
